His
first education in arts gets Guy Pattyn on the
Technical School in Antwerp, in the branch of
Decoration Arts. He also studied Publicity on the
Pavilion Saint-Lucas in Antwerp. After that, Pattyn
enjoys an education on the Township Academy for Fine
Arts in Merksem. He becomes the etching pinches by
education of the artists Frank Ivo Van Damme and
Antoon Vermeylen. From Ludo Lacroix, he gets the
study of Figure and Portrait.
Later on, Guy works in team
spirit with the ' Art-Society 't Blad ', who is
settled in the Old Atelier Hendrik Luyten in
Brasschaat. As a co-founder of these art-society, he
is one of the first members at the same time.
In the autumn of 2002, he left this Art-Societye and
gets the study of a sculptor on the Academy of
Saint-Michael in Brasschaat.
The expression of Guy
Pattyn lays especially in his realistic and
surealistic works of art, figures, landscapes,
seasights, nudes, portraits and still lifes in water
colors, oil paint and pastel. His subjects are chosen
so that those works hide more than they reproduce by
the first observation. He gets the sublimity of the
motif by using the technique of the water
colors
and pastel in a perfect way.
Expositions, individual and
in group, take place in- and outside Belgium. A lot
of his works are purchased by private collectors.
